I remember seeing larger tanks somewhat of the same design. I remember that most barrels of oil were 55 gallons for many years before they came out with the 32 gallon barrels. The fuel truck would deliver barrels of oil that were put into an oil storage tank at service stations and garages. The station would pump oil into a measuring container when they did an oil change. Later came oil in quart cans before they went to plastic containers.
