My dad closes the mailbox door with a red piece of metal wedged between the door and the box. He has a string tying it to the box. When the mailman opens the door to deliver the mail, it falls out of the way. After he gets his mail, he sticks it back in again.

| Have used an older Radio Shack version for years. Really like it, has worked well. Also have one remote camera (recorded) aimed at the box as there"s been some area vandalism/theft, and box is not LOS from house.
