Another quiz from the box

There was a whole package of these rods in the box I got too. They are 1/8" diam. and 16" long. Non magnetic and very brittle. Coarse grain structure. I suspect they are for use with a gas torch but to weld what? Any guesses?

Sure could be! I will have to heat one up to 732* and see if it melts...

The link says the Aladdin rods are 18" long?

They could be 18". I didn't put a tape on them.
There are a couple cans of flux in a box too. Weldco Stainless and Ferro cast iron. The rod is not like anything I has used for stainless and I never tried O/A on cast.That the rods are non magnetic and brittle makes me think Greg is on to something. They will probably lay around with the clamps from my other posting for some time...
