What can I use these wooden boxes for??

You guys always have the best ideas. I bought these at the university surplus store for $10, I don't know why, just thought I could use them somehow. They are 4 feet long and the angled face hinges back to open. I thought about putting all my handheld woodworking tools in them? Thanks!

Put dividers in and use as storage bins, reminds me of the old fashioned cubby holes in a hardware store.

Hey OG.

Those would make dandy cold frames for starting plants.

Replace the lid with plexi and you would be off and runnin'!

Toolbox is good idea. If you get some small shelving/parts boxs abour 3 inchs wide to set in back for nuts and bolts you"d have front bottom space for long tools. Or have a foam pad on bottom, ammo shelf on back side and could get a couple rifles, shotguns inside, have a latch to keep kids fingers off and make it a large rifle case to put in back of extended cab pickup when traceling. Linseed oil rub and turn it into a clothes box for foot of bed area. I made a couple angle topped box"s with lids sort of like that- about a foot wide, 18 inches high at back and 22+ inches long, real handy in back of mini van and small trailer for tools and camp cooking gear. If worse comes to worse- looks about right size for crematory urn storage- maybe fit 4 peoples worth of box/urns/large mason jars in that one- tack pictures of deceased to inside of lid and when lid is lifted can see who is in jar below picture. (Not my usual Teasing- know a family that has recently deceased father in one of his old tool box"s stored like that- picture on inside of lid, etc- comments have been 'need a bigger toolbox' for mother and son when it is their time to return to ash/dust) RN

Looks like a good box to mount on a shed wall and store bug spray, garden dust, penetrating oil, anti freeze and all those other spray cans and bottles that are not only expensive but don"t need to be left out for kids or grandkids to mess with. Also the way the lid is made you could see everything in the box at a glance.

I kinda sorta ? like that urn idea. That way you would always remember them as they would be close by and the picture too. Sure beats them being at a cemetary miles and miles away lucky to get flowers once a year.

Never dreamed anyone besides me bought stuff THEN start thinking about what I will do with it.

My parents motto on the farm is "Drag it in and make it work". Maybe not exactly on EVERYTHING, but things like that would be perfect for...... something......
