These Pliers work well for removing radiator hoses.

I have a pair just like #3 in the top picture, I will follow this thread
and hope to find out what they do best.

The top pair of pliers in the 3rd picture down look like Battery Pliers. The pair under that look like Gas and Burner pliers.

Yup, connector pliers.

The cotter pin pliers are used to pull a straightened cotter pin by putting the beak of the pliers through the eye.

I'll second AZPeapicker on the Cannon plug pliers , and the pair with orange paint are "Gasman's pliers "

Second pair looks like a pair my Dad kept in his box of battery tools. They worked real good at removing corroded nuts on cable ends.

The canon pliers I have, have plactic lining the jaws to not damage the connectors, which are usually aluminum. Most that I have seen use slip joint mechanism that just plain suck. Later models have the same joint as good water pump pliers.

The set with the orange on them are gas line pliers, as in natural or LP gas. The Cotter pliers the jaws fit under the head and the tip sort of fits in the hole more or less. The set with the small jaws appear to be battery terminal pliers for holding the square head end.

FIL had all of those and many, many more!

The cannon plug pliers work real good to unstick and remove water hose from water pump or radiator.
