i have some 3 inch pipe 1/4 inch walls to retrieve from my property. it is located in hill area, and would be difficult to drag torches to cut it to lengths for puling out. what do any of you recommend as best and safest way to cut it?

I cut some up at my place with an electric sawsall and ran it with the generator. Mine was smaller dia. then 3" ? It cut through good and I did not have to rent anything. I had some I pulled out with the tractor and it easy broke where the threads were at the couplings.

I agree with renting a gas cutoff saw. Just one machine and a can of gas to lug along. And a gas saw will just rip thru the pipe. Take a long while to gnaw thru 3" with a sawsall...

If you have a generator and a angle grinder that would work well, I have never been very impressed cutting pipe with a sawzall. Otherwise a gas cut off saw would be best.

I have two gas cut saws and do a lot of metal cutting.
I buy the best AMERICAN made metal cutting abrasive blade I can find. The Chinese made junk will glaze over and give problems.

well i loaded my torches on 4 wheeler, strapped them down good. went to where pipe was, and hooked gauges up and cut pipe into every 150 feet. then took my allis hd4 dozer and pulled them out to site for use. save 65 bucks.
