Parts Washer Shopping

Who makes a decent parts washer suitable for a home shop? I figure 20 gallon would be a good size. I plan on mineral spirits or kerosine for solvent.

Thank you,
Glenn F.

I can not say who makes a good one but if you use what your think about in them unplug it do not use the switch to turn the pump off because you stand a good chance of having a fire. Guess how I know that one LOL. Yep turned off my parts washer pump with the switch and had me a nice hot flash fire in it

I use the type that sets on a drum.

Used ones go for 1 to $200 I use the 30 gal model they also have a 20 gal...
They are EZ to service (as were the HF junk is a PITA to service),,, the Big'n is worth the extra money it will be the last one you will ever by...

Edit one last time,,, I fill the drum up with water are use coolant to about 3 to 4" to the bottom of the pump then add 10 gal of varlsol...

We used to use solvent tanks too. They did the job ok. We now use a CUDA. Top shelf water based cleaner. We can put in a small block w/o the heads, turn it on and walk away. It frees you up to do other things. They are kinda pricey, but worth it for the busy individual. I wouldn't part with mine/ours. Gerard

Bought a new smart washer by chem free. It works great. No flash point. Easy on hands. Cleans good. But it is pricey
