With calipers here is how it measures out. it is 2.93 long base of the brass is 0.620 give or take a tad bit as in the extractor part down off that is 0.544 and the bullet is 0.430 give or take a tad bit. Does that narrow down what it might be?? Also one of the other marks looks like a line top and bottom with 3 lines up and down between them sort of like a Roman number 3

11 x60r Murata specs: length 3.13, rim .632, base .542, bullet .432. Originally black powder, later loaded in smokeless powder. The first rifle domestic for Japan. features from Mauser and French previously used by Japan used- one feature was use of leafspring in bolt handle for firing pin instead of coil spring. superceded by the 8mm Murata, then replaced with Arisaka (mauser basic 98) series. I'd say you have a 11x60R Murata likely smokeles load, your measurements are within hairs distance of specs.- the rifle was used as secondary /police/ issue into 1930s. RN
