Fapco barbed wire splicer

I'm looking for a tool that appears to be from the 80s or so. It's about 4" long and has a pat pending stamp from fapco. Does anyone have any idea where I can find one? I've looked all over the Internet with no luck

Are you talking about that tube looking doo-hickey that was pretty much a hunk of round steel stock with a hole bored in the end? You stuck the wire in the hole and twisted it around the other section. Haven't seen one advertised in a few years.

I gotta give credit to ANYONE that can tighten barb wire without gloves! I DO wonder if the 'Texas Fence Fixer releases from the fence as easily as Jet indicates.

Yeah, trouble is, I rarely find a fence that needs tightened that can be tightened by twisting in that little piece of wire.

I still have two of these tools but I can't remember how to use them. I bought them years ago and remember that they worked well but cannot figure them out now.
