As of about 2 weeks ago I can no longer veiw youtube vids that are embedded on other websites. Vids on the youtube site play fine. I'm running IE8, latest version of Adobe flash player and java script is enabled in my internet security settings. Thanks.

had the same problem as well... And for the life of me could not figure it out. I uninstalled (or at least thought I did in "Uninstall Programs") Flash and reinstalled it to no avail. Then I stumbled upon another site that led me to a solution.
Turned out that you need to reinstall Flash 10 or newer; but with a special uninstaller.
1.Download a Flash uninstalled from
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html. 2.Close All IE windows
3.Run the uninstaller
4.Goto http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and reinstall the Flash player again.
I went through those steps and it worked for me. Good luck!

| Since you are using IE8 I am guessing that you are still running Windows XP. Try cleaning temporary internet files. You might download the free version of CCLEANER (crap cleaner) It won't hurt if it does not fix it.

| I'm using Vista 64bit as an OS. Guess I shoulda said that also. This problem just suddenly started. All checks for virus and malware are negitive. Checked all firewall settings and they are good to go also.

| I just fixed a friend's old Dell with Vista by cleaning the temporary internet files and his computer is working fine now and speeded up. Just saying..
