Speaking of Jonsereds, my CS 2250 S leaks bar oil. Where ever is sits for a while there is a puddle of oil. I have cleaned the area where the oil drips but have not been able to stop the leak. Anyone experienced wit a fix for this. I have both Poulan and Husqvarna and neither leaks. |

I also have a 4 year old CS2245 (I think) and it leaked chain oil from day one. after about 6 months I took it back to the dealer and they agreed to fix it. They took it apart and re-sealed everything and I don"t think it helped much. It seems temperature sensitive, if I keep it in my shop where the temp stays about the same all the time its OK. in my unheated garage at the cabin where the temperature changes with the weather it leaks. I got some cheap boot trays and put newspaper in them to set my saws on, when the paper gets all oily I use it to start fires! My brother-in-law that is a logger says they all leak. I try to plan not to leave very much in them when they are going to sit.

Could be the tank vent for the oil tank! Also a cracked housing.

Might be really simple. My Echo did the same thing and after I tried various things, it turned out to be the rubber o ring in the fill cap. Ellis

If its leaking bar oil , it will be gasket problems . I"ve had Pioneer saws leak like that , so my friendly saw shop changed the gasket of the oil reserviour & it stopped leaking . I"ve had to change a couple others since .I now have a Husky leaking a little , so I"ll have to have my friend show me how to replace that one also . HTH ! God bless, Ken
