assuming (unclear from your question) you want to prevent thieves from stealing it, take off the tires, store them in your garage or shed and block it up, along with a good lock. Especially good deterrent for dual axles (bumper pull). Anything much smaller risks being drug carried off, like your smaller 4x8s etc. Thugs rarely travel alone.... If you use yor trailer frequently, then this may not be the best way either although you may want to take one tire off each axle, leaving only oneon each side of trailer, front axle left tire, rear axle right tire. Might get noticed going down the road. Cut-off switch for lights under trailer, various locks and chains as others mentioned. Bottom line: If they want it bad, they will get it. Just document your possessions and insure them accordingly. At least you can recover your $ loss. For all headaches and agony with a theft use an aspirin..... Hope this helps, Ralph in OK. |
