My son is an Apple technician, and he stays informed about most of this stuff. He told me the other day that plasma is on its way out. LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display, I don't understand how it works but it does. LED stands for Light Emitting Diode, which is what all these flashlights have in them now. Son said the LED is the better type now. LEDs use less electricity. I know that some will disagree, but that is the way any conversation goes. Just passing on what I have been told.

| LED Tvs ARE LCD tvs. The difference in nomenclature is to differentiate between the backlight source. A LCD tv has a florescent bulb for the backlight, while and LED uses LED's for the backlight.
