I know this is beating a dead horse but does anyone have a recommendation for a cheap to mid grade pressure washer. I plan on using it mainly to degrease my tractors after and good soaking with Simple Clean or Purple Power. Hot water would be great but probably not cost effective for my use.

Thanks.

I would look at CL for a used hot water before I ever bought a top of the line cold water machine.

I bought a used MiTM and I love it.

We got our last one at Lowe's with a B&S engine and 2,700 lb. pressure. Really only use it to clean the stock trailer and the barn floors. Does a good job. But don't put gas in the oil hole, that's bad for them... don't ask me how I know.

Home Depot has a real nice Ridgid with a Subaru engine and a Cat pump. I think it's 3100 PSI but not sure. I think the engine might even be EFI. Robin/Subaru are the number one engines in Japan, ahead of Honda and Cat has the best pump.

I agree with the post below.

I bought an electric Kaarcher 1600 psi washer for under a hundred and used it on a contract to clean a parking lot after pouring concrete to set sign bollards.

We were pumping out of 250 gallon totes and probably put 2 or 3 thousand gallons through it all told.

The unit was pretty well trashed by the end but it was money well spent.

get an electric karcher.

you can usually get one with 1200-1500 psi for 89-120$ between walmart and lowes.

great for tractor cleaning and small jobs.. etc.

If you can find one that has a recirculation circuit so it doesn't burn up the pump. As far as hot water find a old hot water tank and hook it up. cold water in the cold then hook the hot side to the washer. It works great and can run about 15-25 min depending on the size of the tank.

I have had good luck with the Cambell Hausfield ones. The are cheap but the one I have was replaced by them them 3 or 4 times for the cost of my time to box it up. Motor went bad on the first one called them and they sent me the paper work to send it back then the 2nd one stopped working and called them and did the same thing.

I use a Campbell Hausfeld 1800 psi 1.66 gpm electric pressure washer I have had it for 5 years, cost about $140. Had the pump replaced under warrenty the 1st year, but has run fine ever since.
1. Buy at Home Depot or Lowes, buy the 5 yr warranty since the pump is throow away.
2. Buy a model with a hose reel and cord reel.
3. Buy a unit with the highest pressure you can get for what you want to invest. The 1800 psi unit is barely enough to get dirt off, let a lone caked on grease, even using solvents.
