I'm the lucky owner of a Grimmer Schmidt 125 cfm with a ford monoblock 308. I had some questions about it and I was looking for a manual. If anyone has or has used one of these, I'd love to chat with you. Thanks, Bart |

| Years ago I rebuilt the compressor side of one of those, It was a 302 Ford. I can't tell you too much about them, except I had to make special tools to reassemble the compressor valves. |

| | Hi, I just got it started yesterday. Had to rebuild the carb. But it makes a funny noise that sounds like rod knock for a few seconds, then it goes away. Mainly during at start up, but mostly during idle. Seems to return on and off. Otherwise the engine runs smooth and quite. I'm hoping the sound is normal, maybe it's compressor sound noise? What do you think? Bart |
