Going throw my grand father stuff and found a Winchester beam scale its all brass and has a pot and the scale is 2 lbs and lbs per bushel number scale. the pat. date is dec. 18 1877. Back in the 40s the goverment took the land for a military base camp breckinridge. Just trying to figure what it was used for.

Thanks Donald

We have one that says Gurneys on it, I should take some pictures of it and post them. My Father-in-law gave it to me and I had to make some weights for it. It s all iron but quite decorative. It seems to be very accurate if used right and we use it for weighing deer, so far up to 217#!
