I didn"t know what cold was til I moved from Saegertown to Nebraska.

First time I ever had fuel gel up on me it was somewhere around 18 below. Plus wind chill.

Dad took off the weak front bumper of our 1950 IH pickup and put on a length of thick wall 5" channel iron for a bumper. Brother took it off after he sold the cab and drive line for parts and scapped the rest.

Dick, those factory bumpers on the L-series trucks LOOKED stout, at first glance...but were softer than warm butter. For my '51 L-110, the plan is to build a REAL bumper that LOOKS as stout as the original SHOULD have been.

I'll post pics when I build it.

Bout 7 miles west of Stonesboro, 1 mile east of rt. 19. Clarks Mills Addy. Closer to Shakeinville thought, It"s bout 1 mile north of Me.

I left almost two and a half years ago and haven't made it back. Other than Kyle's, Elder's, Sandy Lake Imp, and the NH dealer I don't know that area real well. Oh, and Weimer's (sp) diesel shop. They are a few miles from an uncle down there.
