Just put in a t8 lights in a heated office . All wiring is correct and ground is hooked up I triple checked so the bulbs are seaded right but still only have bright light about one foot from each end . So what is wrong ?

Sounds like a grd issue . I can"t help anymore than that tho . The new lighting fixtures have me stumped . I had installed many various types of lighting yrs ago being I did residental & commercial wiring & lately some 8" flueresants have been dieing on me in my shop . Used to be easy & simple to replace tubes or ballasts , but now they"ve went & changed codes & manufacturing standards of tubes & ballasts . The first ballast I replaced last summer took me a couple days to get wired correctly . But then I"m not good at standing on ladders & being off the ground very far either since I"ve become disabled . I did get one fixture working , but still have 3 or 4 more since then quit working . Now , believe it or not , I forget how I wired the cussed ballast so it would work . Oh the joys of getting old , loosing brain cells & then of course code standards changing to confuse me even more . I do know that a friend I"ve dealt with for years at my old electrical supply warehouse said with these new ballsts , grds are an issue . He advised scraping any paint away so you get a good secure grd . Also use a dielectric grease to ensure a good non corrosive contact .HTH ! God bless, Ken

Double check the voltage on the ballasts. As said before check grounds. Use candles if that doesn't work.

Check the ballast against the bulbs to be certain they are compatiable.
Check ballast voltage then check what voltage is reaching the ballast(while the ballast is drawing power).
Check wireing against diagram printed on ballast.
