| yep used to break a calf or even a bull or another cow from sucking. tines would stick the cow and she would kick them.

| | Arnie - I can't tell the size of that thing, but it reminds me of a gadget that the old folks used to clamp on a calfs nose to wean it while running with the cow. Those spikes would poke momma, and she'd kick the calf away. The one I have is made differently, goes in the nose similar to a nose pinch, but mebbe yours had other parts that are missing. Paul
