My mother passed away today. Good woman who loved the simple life. Tractors were in her blood. Raised 7 good kids. Four retired military, three not but all had good jobs.No slackers.

Feel for you, so sad. my mom, 87, is in the hospital now, hopefully back to nursing home on thursday. in 1991 my day had a major stroke on this day and died 3 days later. makes Christmas tough.

Bill,

Sorry to learn of your mothers passing.

Will it hurts now, there will come a time when
the fond memories out weigh the grief.

In our house we refer to my mom's ways often,
whether my wife likes it or not! LOL,

Pete

Geez thats rough, mine passed 3 1/2 years ago. Still think of her many times everyday, especially this time of year.
Hang in there!

"What thought the radiance once so bright be now forever taken from my sight, thought nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass of glory in the flower, we will grieve not, rather take strength in what remains behind"

May she rest in peace, you have my sympathy

While it is very sad losing our beloved parents, how wonderful to hear of your love and respect for her. Things would be so much worse if you had a lifetime of regrets. Thank you for letting us grieve with you. There's a better day a comin'!!

Billy' The love she had for you will never be lost. Her. Memories will flood back to let you remember this / I'm 77 and both mine are gone. Keep sharing the memories. and may God bless you and yours at this time in life. Warmest regards, LOU & Family.

Thanks everyone. Just got back from her house. Couldn't sleep. So I went over to get things going. Never knew she had so many tractor related items. She has just about every tractor made in some form or the other.

I even found her old china berry switch. When we were kids and got into trouble. She wouldn't punish you right away. She would make you wait. Then out of nowhere she would pop you with it. Got me one morning when my ears were cold. She popped me on the ear. I thought I was going to die.

She never went overboard with the punishment. We got away with more than we should have. But if she gave you that look and reached for the switch. You knew you were in trouble. I think the waiting was worse than the switch.

Well gotta go. Long ride to Tyler to bring her home.

Sorry for your loss.I lost my dad about three weeks ago. This will be the first Christmas in a long time when he didn't call me. It's the little things that bring them back to us.
