The state senator in question is out of the loop. If they don"t pass an acceptable law within 180 days, concealed carry becomes the law with NO restrictions. At that point it is out of Illinois" hands. What will happen is that any law, like the state senator advocates, will fail to pass. The reality is there will be too many votes against her type of law. In fact, if the progun congress people just drag thier feet for 6 months and pass nothing, concealed carry will be the law with no restrictions. The last time concealed carry was voted on it nearly passed with super majority. The Chicago machine just doesn"t have the votes on this issue.
