I have a Parker, compound crossbow. It has a cranking mechanism to cock it. I am not real fond of it. It works fine, but it is bulky and heavy and pretty much of a one shot deal.
I bought it when I had shoulder and tendon surgery.
I have sense bought a standard compound bow, a lightweight Mathews. Much lighter than the crossbow, more convenient and I can slip in a second arrow and get off another shot in seconds if need be.
And really, the range of a crossbow is not much better than a regular bow.
