Cutting glass

I tried cutting some 1/4" glass with no luck. Never had a problem with thinner glass. Scored fine but didn't want to snap.

Cutting 1/4" glass is easier with a better quality glass cutter than the box stores sell. They are sharper and will score the glass better. It may also be the glass. Some of it cuts easier than others.

Quarter inch is pretty thick to cut without a jig of some kind. Like the others already said,it is unusual to find single strength that thick.

Thats what the ball at the other end of the scoring tool is for. Score it, flip it over, and tap the glass along the score. It should crack it between the scored side and side you're tapping on. Start on both ends and works towards the middle or you might loose a corner.
