Does Fluid Film work??

I never used it for that, I used it to coat the inside of an E-zee Flow fertilizer spreader after every time I washed it out, and it kept things from rusting in there without being excessively messy like petroleum-based oil would. I currently coat the door tracks on my gravity wagons with it and sometimes they spend months outside, and since I've been using it, have not had one stick fast again.

I know a guy that used to sell pumps to the navy. They would pump the stuff out of 55 gal drums and spray it on ship interiors to prevent rust. I like using the stuff.

Steve, we sell it where I work and sell a lot of it to guys in the snow removal business to spray on salt spreaders to stop corrosion, and on plow frames for the same reason. It is great stuff to stop corrosion. It is lanolin base, so it has a funny smell, but it does what the can says it will do

I've been using it for years after I first tried it in the military.I usually coat all unpainted steel surfaces when I put them away for the year or any long term. I tried it on road vehicles but in ontario they use so much salt on the roads it doesn't hold up that well. But like I said I count on it for storage and it works well for my needs.

Don't know about using it as an undercoating, but I use it for linkages, mainly. Also clings to roller chains, very well. Also use it on trailer hitch balls. Always good to lube up your balls.
