1/2 price is not enough of an incentive to get me to fight the crowds on black Friday. My sanity is worth much more than that.

It's missing the 9/16" and 3/4" combination wrenches and it's not made in the USA. Prolly skipped those wrench sizes because where they are made, SAE was NEVER used. Kobalt USED to be all USA made but they switched manufacturers to save money--benefitted THEIR bottom line, not the purchasers.

Scot,
I don't know how to do what you did. I just know how to copy the address and paste it. So how do you do that?

If anyone has a better bargan, let me know. I have a set of craftsman's sockets in 3 drawers. Love having sockets in an organized place. That way I can tell when one is missing. The craftsman's are going to be around $150 on black friday.

Its something to think about...

Even tho Chinese (or taiwanese to be precise) tools arent my favorite, the Kobalts are no doubt the BEST imported hand tools I've ever used.

I dont know if the Craftsman set is better or cheaper (your link didnt show the normal or sale price, just said 1/2 off) but the Craftsman 145 piece tool kit is usually on sale a couple times near Christmas for around $130. I even got free shipping last year, they had an offer for free shipping on an over $100 purchase.

Nice thing about the Craftsman 145 piece set is they dont have any "filler" tools like allen wrenches or screwdrivers where they count all the seperate bits as a tool. The set is all 6 point and the only overlaps are in different drive size or deep well. http://www.sears.com/craftsman-145-pc-all-steel-easy-to-read-mechanics/p-00934142000P and the tool list http://c.shld.net/assets/misc/IL34142.pdf

As an added bonus, Craftsman tools sell like hot cakes on craigslist. I bought a couple of the above sets and a dozen socket rails. I refilled all my missing sets around here and the farm, took the remaining sockets and put them on the rails and sold them on craigslist. I made more money than I paid for everything. I priced the sets at 1/2 normal retail that you pay in Sears and they sold well. Once in a while I had the normal problem with people wanting "package deal" pricing if they bought more than one set and I would knock off a couple bucks, if they pushed it more than that I just told them I sold the other sets they started asking about and only sold one set and that seemed to work well.

I havent tried selling Kobalt tools on craigslist, has anybody else? Do they move at 1/2 price? Some of these Dec. tool sales are great Feb. money makers when you split them up.

My craftsman sockets came in 3 trays one for each 1/4, 3/8 & 1/2 drives. I like to slide out a tray, take it where I need it, and when finished see what's missing. On sale it costs about $150.

Kobalt is like craftsman, 3 trays for the sockets. Kobalt sells for $200, black friday $100.

Who sells their tools? My kids will sell mime. I just want another set of tools for my pole barn. I carry a set in my turck and have another set in my workshop.
