super99 10-28-2012 03:50:14 74.38.54.87 Report to Moderator	I think my Sears Oil less air compressor took a dump. It's close to 20 years old. I used it yesterday and it runs but will barely make 40# of pressure in the tank. Can these be repaired, or are they just a throw away and replace unit? I would like a bigger 2 stage compressor, but not sure I need one, just would like to have one. I'm 60, if the next one lasts 20 years, it will probably outlast me. Chris [Reply]   [No Email]

Menards extended their 11% rebate for one more week, so I went over this afternoon and bought a 60 gallon single stage belt drive air compressor for $499 - 11%. I rebuilt it and it took another dump. I dumped it off at the recyclers. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER NOISY OIL LESS COMPRESSOR. I would buy an old used compressor before buying an oil less. My oldest compressor is almost 60 years old. Change the oil. It will last me a lifetime too, 63.   [Reply]  [No Email]

Sometimes you can clean them but most likely they will need to be replaced. Anyway if it were me I would get the 2 stage compressor if for no other reason then get away from the noise.   [Reply]  [No Email]
