- sorry, but I have to vent
This is a rhetorical qusetion - I don't think it really has an answer.
But WHY ON EARTH can tool manufacturers NOT MAKE A TOOL CASE THAT FITS THE TOOL PROPERLY ONCE IT"S BEEN TAKEN OUT.
More specifically - most of them are designed to fit the tool well - but it's like they didn't know it had a wire attached to it.
For the love of god - would it KILL THEM to make the case a few inches bigger so you can can actually FIT THE WIRE.
I'm so SICK of coiling wires - stuffing them in the case and hoping they don't pop out - which they always do - and then they get stuck in little protrusions in the case preventing it from closing-
How hard can this be????
Just got a makita cordless - great case - but try to put the charger back in there and forget it - it's like closing a suitcase that's too full - you have to press it down hard to latch it.
Porter cable router - great case - router fits right in snuggly... but there's no where to put the wire - you can try to be neat with it, but it won't fit - you have to hold the lid down and feed the wire in in little bits to get it in there.
Milwaukee hammer drill...
I could go on for hours here.
Milwaukee angle grinder - great canvas bag - just don't try to close it with the grinder in there.
CAN'T STAND IT.
What's so frustrating is they go through the whole manufacturing proccess to make the bag/box anyways -thats where all the cost is - why not just spend an extra .002 and make it a little BIGGER.
Ok - got it out of my system.
I'm better now.
And I should give credit to milwaukee's sawzall with the metal case. That one fits the wire pretty well...
(but not the saw if you've got a large blade in it!)
