I just bought a couple chain saws at an auction and they are both running but I need to know the proper gas/oil mixtures ratio. first is a Jonsered and the other is a McCullogh. Thanks in advance for your help. |

| I am pretty sure the ratios have changed over the years. My Dad who was a logger used to mix everything for his chain saws at 20:1 but from what I understand newer saws use a leaner mix, 32:1 or even 50:1. He might have been on the cautious side because he made his living with his chain saws and put a LOT of hours on them. If you posted the model and approx. age of the saws that might help.
Often the mix is printed somewhere on the saw or the gas cap. |
