| 11 keys. 2 for the wife's truck, 1 for my truck, 1 for the gun/reloading room, 1 for the lock on my treestand, 1 for a house that I no longer own(no idea why I still have it), one for sister in law's house(I do handyman work for her and let her dog out when she's away), 1 for my house, 1 for dad's house, 1 for mom's house, and 1 which i know is important but I have no idea what the heck it fits!! Maybe thats for Gram's garage. I also keep my p38 on my key chain. Now for the wife's keys..........Oh good Lord. Nope! That would take WAY too long with all the rewards thingys an bottle openers and other trinkets. Thank heaven the ignition keys stay in the trucks and the keys we carry only open the doors. Kippster |

| | I installed Schlage electronic door locks on the shop and house. Don't carry those keys any more. Just down to vehicle keys mostly, Three for my Ranger (door, ignition, and camper shell) Why did Ford use different keys for the ignition (square head) and the door (round head, same as trunk keys)????? One key for my Pontiac Vibe, PO Box key, and keys for toolbox and locker at work on smaller ring that is installed on the larger ring. Suddenly realized I have a key I don't know what it fits....... Schlage door lock key.... I never use the original car keys, you wear them out and then don't have anything to make new ones from. Also originals have that thick crappy plastic on the heads of them, so I only use duplicated keys, plain old blanks with no ornamentation, on my key ring. Put the electronic key fobs for the car away, will give them to the new owner in a few years. Charles |

| | The Schlage digital locks have ten buttons, 0, 1, 2, 3, etc. Others have the 1-2, 3-4, which I did not care for. Locks work great. I did put a sticker on the indoor side showing when I changed the battery last. The don't want to come right on in the 100 degree heat and you sometimes have to push all the buttons for a few seconds to wake them up, but this happens only infrequently. I don't have deadbolts or second locks, so no issue there. If someone wants in, its real easy, just break some glass, so these are to keep honest people and opportunist criminals out. Charles |

| On my pickup ring there are six, One for the house and one for the garage. The same two open the weekend house and weekend garage. The other three are for the gun range in the basement of the club. The first two keys unlock about 12 different locks that I keyed the same to make life easier. I always carry that set so I can get into the house, though if I forget it, I can key in the code on the garage door. And of course the ignition key.The other set is the car set, Car key, and three keys for the school bus I drive. Last set that sits in my car, all the other keys I need for dad"s, sister"s etc. |

| My brother left his keys in the car and locked it here in the barnyard a while back. Locksmith looked through the window at keys in ignition, made a key, and opened the door. It took about 45 seconds. It was then that I knew none of my stuff is really safe (locked or not). |

| | Six. House key, One for the shop, one that fits the sugar house and two gas tanks, sugar house front door, one for my sister's house, one for the neighbor's, and a PROTO key chain screw driver. Vehicles all have their own rings, get brought in at night. I also have a bunch of seldom used keys hanging in my tool box, and a drawer full of the same at home. IF I ever kill or seriously injure a thief, it will not be because of whatever I catch him doing. It will be from years of pent up frustrations and anger from lost keys, broken keys, broken locks, frozen locks, worn out locks, and forgotten combinations. Was the lock actually locked, who has a key, who knows the combination, when can I get the key, where do I have to go to get the key, who can I trust with the key, is the key actually hidden where they said it would be, or did they forget. Who parked their car locked it up and took the keys, right in front of the shop door/in the driveway/across the gate? Cheap locks, expensive locks, expensive KEYS, AAAAARRRRGH. What do you mean we can't get two keys with this rental car? And don't get me started on high tech, smart keys etc. And then when the lock doesn't do its job, there is the flak from the insurance company. This actually happened to and acquaintance of mine. "We won't pay for your stolen truck, because you left the keys in it." It was in a LOCKED building!!! |

| | I carry two identical rings just about that size, and one that's about half again as big. The big one has things on it like my house keys, keys to our Surburban, keys to my Jeep, the key to the storage building, etc. Basically keys to any and everything NOT work related. My two smaller rings both have nearly an identical set of keys on them, and all of them are work related. I do this so I will never get locked out of my service truck out in the middle of nowhere..Been there beofre and was thankful for the ring in my pocket. Too, if I do happen to get out and leave the keys in it, I don't have to get back in to ger that ring in order to unlock the bins, etc. Too there are times I'm moving around vehicles in the yard to make room so one ring will be in one vehicle and the other will be on a second vehicle. That way I can just leave them running for the two minutes it takes to move the other one out of the way and don't have to start and stop the both of them if I'm swapping places with them or whatever. It's a pocket full but I've been carrying them so long I'd probably walk leaning to one side if I took them out...LOL |

Oh yes, people can. If his picture was clearer I could make copies of the 2 Kwikset keys and the Schlage as well as the square one to the left of the Schlage that looks like a patio door key (Kwikset blank). The Schlage looks like a 47658 or there abouts. Cut that code to a bump and with 10 seconds you are in. Of course if you know what you are doing with a bump, you can open it in 30 anyway. But the real joy is making the key and walking in like you own the place, bumping or picking in just aint as fun or rewarding.
Making key copies from pictures has been done for years, not just since digital photography even though it came into mainstream news a few years ago with the voting machines. http://boingboing.net/2007/01/25/diebold-voting-machi.html All it takes is 2 seconds walking past a copy machine or 20 seconds with a sharp pencil and tracing the key. Never let your keys out of your sight....
The key on the far right looks like a tool used to open a large number of locks when you dont have the factory supplied key for that particular lock. |

| Not over four at one time. I have a separate key ring for each vehicle, some have two keys, some only one, along with a key for each of two houses. This way, no matter what I'm driving I will have a house key. (I got tired of having to climb in the house through a window.) |

| This has to be the low number. Zero, Nada, Zilch, Keys stay in the vehicles even at the store or wherever. No housekeys needed, I use the electric garage door. Turn the latches on the deadbolts at night. When I go deer hunting or waterfowl or pheasant hunting keys are hidden near the vehicle so anyone in the group can use it in an emergency. Spare keys hidden in vehicles with self tapping screws. Keys for toolboxes or trailer hitches remain in vehicle. Like wise trailer hitch and dog box keys. Never have a key in my pocket and thus have never lost my keys. |

| It took me about 5 years to get there but now my keys are few. Each car/truck/tractor has it's own plus the padlock key that hang in mud room. My "carry ring"has 4 , one padlock key that fits mine, son's,daughter's plus a few other people's gates and such where there might be up to 5 interlinked locks and pieces of chain. One house key that fits home,shops/storages of mine, daughter, son, nephew and just one bottom entery knob on rent houses. One fireproof lockbox/safe. One for my daily driver truck. Unless on the job as a nightwatchman or jailer,a man chaining keys to his britches looks odd as totting a shoulder purse. |

| Zero. I hate keys in my pockets. I leave the keys in all the cars, my thought is if someone needs a car in the middle of the night I'd rather have them find the keys in the ignition than on the kitchen table. The house is rarely locked because we never go anywhere, if someone needs to come in the house in the middle of the night they have to get past the two dogs and traverse the whole house in the dark before meeting the muzzle flash in the hallway. |

It will open up to a tad over 9/16 so comes in extra handy when you need to fix that small thing the stops you dead in your tracks like a loose fan belt etc. And forgot the tag that says Dad's keys on it.
