I have a WR Brown speedy compressor NO. 130.441. how do these compressors work? Are they just for paint spraying? or can a tank be hooked to it? No Motor, what size electric motor should i use? and can i replace with a gasoline motor?

Thank You

I've had a twin cylinder speedy compressor since I bought it used off a neighbor in the 60's. It's a twin diaphram unit about 4.6 cfm. It can develop up to 70 psi before the safety valves go off - one on each head.
I have a 1/4 HP motor on it. They also came in single cylinder versions.
dry sump - sealed ball bearing on crankshaft and connecting rods.
repair kits used to be available. Rebuilt mine once.
Don't know if these units are still made. They were used primarily for painting. Mine came tank mounted c/w with 50 psi Speedy spray gun.
I only use mine now for charging my household water cushion tank.
