It"s on topic; I try to scorch"em before the get into my tractor. Can you get parts to replace the electronics module or is it cheaper to buy another bug lite. These things worked great & I don"t want to throw"em away if they can be rebuilt reasonably. They are both Stinger UV40 brand & model. Quit working within 2 weeks of each other. Light up but wont zap. One has a hole melted in the plastic of the transformer & other one looks OK. The whole electrical unit is easy to replace by taking out 2 screws.

Probably cheaper to simply replace. Had one a few years back, about all it killed was moths. Mosquitos didn"t seem attracted to it.

et another if you "believe" in them.....sure ain't worth trying to fix!

I had one that killed mosquitoes.I had it near the garden because it killed the moth that lays eggs on corn and cabbage.A friend had one in an acre of sweet corn because it cut the need for spraying.I have read accounts where the owners said it took about 2 weeks to clear an area of mosquitoes.I watched my bug lite kill mosquitoes.Transformer quit on mine but it will get fixed.
