did you ever find the repair parts or replacement cylinder?
I have the same model and I need the same parts.
I don"t have a parts manual but i assume the cylinder is what regulates the fall rate of the saw arm. this is an older Craftsman power hack saw.

If I go to "Sears Parts Direct". It shows Model #10822920 as being a Craftsman continuous-blade power hacksaw. Click on the diagram to see all the P/N"s and prices.
