Sometime back I posted about a 21/32 socket question

For the ones that showed interest S-K does sell the 21/32" 1/2 inch drive socket number 40121 for 10.67 on their web site. List includes sockets 1 3/16 and 1 7/16 in 1/2 inch drive all regular size.

Several companies make those odd sizes. Comes in a socket or a combo open-end wrench. I just bought a Chinese set of open-end and box wrenchs and they've got many odd-ball sizes. 19/32",21/32", 23/32", 25/32", 27/32", etc. Also got a metric set from the same Chinese company and not only got all the incremental sizes, also several half-sizes. 10 MM, 10.5 MM, - on up to 21 MM. Most sets now adays skip even some of the whole sizes like 9MM, 11MM, 18MM, 20 MM, etc.

SK was SK-Wayne when I was a kid. It's changed from "Sherman and Klove" to "Symmington-Wayne" to "Dresser" to "Stanley", etc. Some French company owns them now (I think).

I was buying some bolts yesterday ,saw a set of 8 1/2 drive sockets for 3.99. taiwan. Makes it hard to spend 10.67 for one socket.

Those odd-ball sizes were developed many years ago to accomodate the odd-ball, British standard sizes. The name "Whitworth" comes to mind, but I may be off on the spelling.
