Check out Chicago Craigslist garage sales

Same scammer's got flagged off half a dozen times here in NY--I suppose as long as people are stupid enough to expect something for nothing they won't run short of victims.

If it's been run in the salt all it's life it may be no more than a bucket full of iron oxide with a Ford emblem laying on top!

Park it where the sun don't shine!
My friend has one like it. Has been parked for 15 years in one place. A guy tried to tow it out of that spot, and off came the whole front clip--frame, engine, hood, fenders, and radiator!
Those old Fords were designed to self-destruct in 8 years or less. Thats why they are so scarce in the snow country of the east. All of the salt our guvments tossed onto the roads did the dirty deed. I think the auto and truck makers sort of encouraged the road crews, to toss out lots of road salt, to hasten the demise of their trucks and cars, too!

92 F150? 18 years old, Chicago area with salt. $200.00 at $100.00 a ton salvage price- a bit above scale price, possibly a running engine? Then again I"m currently driving a 1991 E250 Ford van paid $500.00 for 3 years or so back. Paid $150.00 for a Dodge D100 few years back- needed tires and brake job- drove it couple years and cousins husband borrowed it another year as winter work car, decent fuel mileage but quart of oil every 2/3 weeks. Possibly useable, possibly scrap, drive down and see. RN

Very possible it has seen salt rather less than you might think. Probably bought used in Mexico, then back and forth to Chicago for the Summer landscaping season for several years, (so missed a few of our winters) until it could no longer be trusted to get the family of 8 down there and back, then sold off to one of the 'Toothless Charlies' that drive around and collect scrap metal.

All in all, I bet she's a 'real clean little one-owner unit'...

It's the same guy selling all the Kubotas in the photo ads section of this page for $2800 or so for $12,000-$40,000 machines!
