Square straw bales

Setting in front of a store which I named in last post and location also named to see the post gooo up in smoke. The message was: 9 bucks for a bale of straw, punkins not priced.

Rural store around here getting $4.00 a bale. But then they don't have to make payments under the table.

I sell it for 4 bucks TO the store... They sell for 5 bucks.
I'm not much inclined to slog my hole out for less than that handling square bales. There's often nearly as much time involved in baling straw around here as there is in baling hay... combined with the genreal lack of straw or any other bedding around, so you can expect to pay for it.

I just got 10 bail's for 2.50/bail. South end of Michigan. It's not the best looking bail I have ever seen but, it will do good for Holloween decore which is what my wife wanted it for.

Now, you just hope that some Wal-Mart buyer isn't reading this post and wondering what he'd have to pay for Chinese straw: "We'll show these American farmers that we can buy square bales of straw from China and undercut their price for straw by 75 percent."
