I was fooling around on the net and looked at the website of one of the big fab shops here, Edmonton Exchanger. They are building a 16,000 sq. ft. addition for their new plate rolls. Apparently the largest of their kind. 6 inch thick cold rolling capacity and 11 INCHES THICK hot rolling capacity! I guess their other rolls of 4 inch cold and 8 inch hot weren't big enough? Unfortunately there wasn't a picture. They must be huge, not to mention expensive. They designed and built the largest head press in N. America, I think, as well and it uses a 6 ft. diameter hydraulic cylinder. I went to school with the foreman there. He was offered a job after work experience and has been there ever since 1981.
