I have a generator that is a backup to our farm here in Australia , the men at the tool forum have been very helpful but I need further information .
It is a 3.5kw generator powered by an engine that no one seems to recognise . I don't think it is a Honda clone as it doesn't look like any I have ever seen .
These generators are sold all around the world including the USA .

They differ only in name and colour and the regulated output voltage according to the country .
Can anyone recognise this engine , I realise the photos are not great but they are the best I can do without the huge job of removing the entire casing . I did read that it may be a Hyundai but that is unconfirmed .
I want to check the oil alert sender unit , it only has one wire , unlike the Hondas . I can't get a spark from it despite changing the coil . Next step is a new ignition module
