Wisconsin VE4 Engine Manifold

I have a VE4 on a pull type combine that runs like a top however, the spark arrest is pretty well rusted out and I would like to put an actual muffler on it. I have tried to heat the manifold up red hot to screw out the spark arrest but it refuses to budge. At this point I am afraid to put much more torque and heat into it for fear of breaking something. What are my options for finding and installing a different manifold that I can put a vertical muffler on? Are the other V series manifolds usable on the VE4?

Cut what's left flush with the casting , with jab saw ( inside hacksaw) cut into

the pipe but not deep enough to cut the threads in the cast. Make two cuts 1/2 to

an inch apart ,with cape chisel peel the piece out ,then you can get the rest out

with out damaging the threads .
