What size battery do I need to run a buzz coil on a six horse Fairbanks morse? Thanks, Mark.

Originally, the "buzz coil" would have "lived" in a battery box with four 1-1/2 Volt #6 dry cell batteries connected in series producing a (nominal) 6 Volts.

AFAIK, those batteries are still available from cetain sources, or you need to find another 6 Volt (nominal) source, IMHO.

I just use a 12 volt lawn tractor battery with a Model T coil on my Fairbanks Morse engine.
Those coils will produce a good spark at 6 volts to 32 volts like they did on the Model T magneto.
Voltage was dependent on the speed of the engine.
