1966 Winpower generator

I recently acquired a 1966 Winpower Generator 10hp powered by a single cylinder diesel letter engine mounted on TRAILER. It has 2000 RPM 266 amp 115/230 volt and hand crank or electric start. It cranked and ran like it was brand new still does. I am trying to get an idea of what it's worth to sell . I have original manuals and it's in good shape any ideas

What is the rated output of the generator. Look for the specs in the manuals. It is a rule of thumb that 1 Kw
takes ~ 2 hp. 266 amps sounds like a mighty big output for just a 10 Hp engine.

Re engine - "letter" or Petter?

Guessing. As mentioned 10 hp will drive about 5000 w. At 230 volts that should be about 22 amps.

Or going the other way 27 amps at 230 volts = 6210 watts.

So likely that amps is missing a decimal point.

Hard to place a solid value on it due to
limited information and not seeig it but
seldom will an older generator, even a high
quality one bring more than a simliar sized
dime store unit. Trailer adds some but not
a lot. Some of those older diesels are
impossible to get parts for. Best guess?
$400 tops.
