FM 2 hp crank shaft bent

I need a crankshaft for a Fairbanks Z 2 hp engine, or what is the chance of getting mine strengthened out. Can that be done? Let me know what you have or think on getting mine fixed. It's not bad, does fine at low rpm. Here is a picture of it.

A good machine shop can straighten it and check it in a lathe. Preferably an older machine shop with guys that have been around for a while.

If there's still an automotive machine shop in your area, the sort of place that rebores engine blocks and grinds crankshafts, they should be set up to check crankshafts, and straighten, as needed. Ask around.

Easy to true up yourself. Remove the flywheel from the bent side of the crank. Bolt the engine to a solid base, (concrete if possible and use a dial indicator to find the peak of the bend. Then use a hyd jack to gently straighten. Do it slow and keep checking with the indicator until the run out is gone. Also carefully check the flywheel for cracks at the spokes. Something struck the flywheel to bend and it may have cracked it in the process.
