Removing fuel tank from Economy 1 3/4 hp

I would like to check the condition of fuel tank on this Economy 1 3/4 hp engine. Fuel tank sits inside the base of the engine. How is it to be removed? Are the fill and outlet pipes threaded into the tank? Are the connections on fuel tank, prone to breakage when removing the pipes?
Thanks

The pipes should be threaded to the tank. You will have to lay the engine on it's side to
remove. I would put some rust breaker on for a couple of days to loosen.

Okay. I will use Kroil penetrating fluid. I much prefer to use this fuel tank, if condition warrants, as opposed to a glass Mason jar. :)
Thanks

If you have a cherry picker suspend the engine and work on it that way. Take the filler neck piping out of the tank and the fuel line
connection out.

Yes, that would be great. The only thing at my side is old and tired bones. I will eat my WHEATIES and go for it.:))
Thanks

I was able to remove the fuel tank inlet pipe and the outlet pipe today, after using a penetrating fluid. After elevating the base of the engine, it then was clear how the fuel tank was secured. I was wondering if the wire that was used to secure the tank was original? If not what was original?
Thanks
