Fairbanks Morse Z 6hp, Paint...

Hi all it's Bryce. I got my dad a Fairbanks Morse model Z 6hp for x-mas. We got it running good and strong, now all we need to do is figure out what color to paint it come spring? After looking at it, I think that the old style Oliver paint is about the closest that I can match it to. What do all of you think? Thanks, Bryce
P.S. It is a 1928.

If there is enough original paint left to tell what color it was I would not repaint it. It's only original once and if you take care of it , it will look about the same for the rest of your life. If you paint it, it will look really nice until you run it a couple times and it gets oily and dirty and then it looks crappy and cheap.

Hi Bryce,

Sounds like a great gift for Christmas.
If you havent been over to SmokeStack,your going to really enjoy,I have 2 6hp "Z"s neither running yet, but one very close.
