Briggs model #

I have a Briggs engine on a mid 1950's ROCKY riding mower with a Briggs engine beyond repair, the Briggs I D tag says it is a Model 1600-127 serial number 5610029B. We need a replacement motor for My Grandson's 4-H Americana project.
I have seen old Brigg's engines listed with model,s B, S, FH/

My question is what model does the above mentioned Model and Serial numbers equate to?

I don't know how to interpret your numbers, but all Briggs models before 1965 should be covered at the ASECC website. There are photo sections to help with ID.
