Still looking for the method/instructions (how)to install the starter handle return spring for an 'LB'. Merry Christmas !!!!!!!!!!!!~

I made a long punch to go from the backside of the flywheel and punch the pin out that holds the handle in. Mine was made out of like 5/16 rod and ground on a bench grinder about 1 inch back at a taper with the small end being able to fit in the pin hole and punch the tapered pin out. Install the spring over the handle and then drive your pin back in. It is a tight fit on the backside of the flywheel but you can do it. I have done several.hope this helps.

I always have to figure that out too. The way it retracts the handle. It goes over the handle and the ends fit in 2 little flat spots on the flywheel. The horse shoe part of the spring goes over the handle on the outside. If you need I could get a picture tomorrow.

Hope this helps
