Does anyone know what make and model engine is on a Chicago Electric Model 66604 Generator. Also do you know where I can get a manual for the engine and buy parts for it?

If it is old enough to have a blue engine they are Honda Clones made in China by Lifan. 420CC and (for some reason?) rated 13HP unless it is on a generator and then they are 16HP. I dont know who builds the Black engines but they are still a Honda copy made in China. Harbor Freight is actually pretty decent about getting parts as long as you give them ALL pertnant information. I have found it better to do this on line or the 800 number rather than go to a store. There is also a lot of parts for those engine being sold on Ebay for cheap but you will get nowhere with the generator number.

"Chicago Electric" is Harbor Freight's name for their made-in-the-land-of-almost-right electrical stuff. Contact them to see if they can supply a manual. (66603 comes up on their website, but not 666604.)
