I read you post wrong. ElToro is pointing you in the right direction.
The shop most likely timed the cam to the crankshaft correctly. As ELToro is pointing out the Magneto was not timed correctly to the engine. The page as I see it that Eltoro posted is hard to read. There is a Wisconsin web site you can go to and get the manual to correctly time the Magneto to the engine. That is what I feel is your problem.
If your Magneto had spark you did not need to have it repaired.
