Is it restored as in complete tear down, new rings, valves and seats ground, or just a paint job overhaul? Is it on trucks? A actual restore, both in and out, on trucks, maybe 4-500. A paint job overhaul, not on trucks, worth about 3- 350. But, is not hit and miss, it is a throttle governed engine. They are neat little engines and very easy to run and work on. Would be a great starter engine if you have never had a stationary engine before. I have several of those engines and have a lot of fun with them. |

| I tried to contact the guy with that engine and he never responded. In the meantime I bought a JD Model E Hit and miss from an old guy by Winnipeg. It's been repainted but never rebuilt and all original. He said his Dad bought it new. It needs a new tank and I should do some seals on it. I hope to do that (at least the tank) shortly. My intent is to put it on a cart and hook it to an ice cream maker. Are there other setups than country freezer makers out there? What are your suggestions. Thanks for your interest. |
