Waterloo Boy 6hp

In the process of buying a Halfbreed oilfield engine, I ended up with a 6hp Waterloo Boy too. Does anyone know how to read / decode the serial number for the year model? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Jim

Hi Jim, if I am reading the number right, 109,000 would be a 1914. Real nice engines, I have one just like it, only a couple months older. You planning to keep it?

Hello Arnold,
Not sure what it's future will be, but if I do get rid of it, it will be to someone that admires these old engines, the serial number is 109166.....I thought I read somewhere that the 6hp had 30" flywheels, but it has 36" flywheels, is this the sMe as yours?
Thanks
Jim
