Hit and Miss engine use

I have an old hit and miss small engine that I want to put into use. Does anyone have a small belt driven ice cream maker that they can part with? I just want to have my little engine doing something instead of just watching it run.

I was at a tractor show in Linden Wa. last year and they had a LOT of staionary engines on display. Many of the owners had hooked up all kinds of "Gyro Gearloose" contraptions, from running ice-cream makers to pumping water with 'handle' type well pumps. Not sure what I'm going to do with mine --many wacky ideas though.

To put an ice cream freezer on a hit n miss engine, u will need a series of pullies to gear it way down, otherwise will turn it took fast. Another idea, go to a local heating/air conditioning place and see if u can get a squirrel cage fan to put on it, it will give the engine a decent load and keep you cool in the process.
